Nidhi Dubey is a Vice President with GHS Emerging Economies, and brings with her twelve years of experience in advocacy and communications in public health programs. Lawyer by qualification, she began her career with Lawyers Collective where she worked on law and ethics related to HIV/AIDS. She worked closely with sexual minorities groups, marginalized populations like sex-workers, truckers and injecting drug users addressing human rights and access to health care issues. She then moved on to work closely with a project supported by USAID where she advocated with public and private employment sector on initiating comprehensive HIV/AIDS workplace programs. She was instrumental in developing ten such partnerships that were demonstrated as best practice models by USAID program in India.
Nidhi also has extensive experience in communications and media advocacy. In her assignment with Heroes Project - founded by Richard Gere and Parmeshwar Godrej and supported by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, she worked closely with the Indian entertainment media and societal leaders. She was instrumental in embedding messages in popular TV shows and engaging many key film /TV celebrities and cricketers in HIV/AIDS programs. In her most recent assignment with Johns Hopkins University - Centre for Communications Program (JHU CCP), she served as a Deputy Chief of Party where she specialized in behavior change communications strategies and also led the media advocacy initiative of the project. In her assignment with CCP, she conceived, developed and evaluated many national level multi-media campaigns for National AIDS Control Organization.
