Brian Wahl joined Global Health Strategies in 2006, bringing several years of communications and advocacy experience to the firm. As a Director at GHS, Brian oversaw the development and implementation of integrated research and advocacy programs on various international projects. From 2009-2012, Brian was been based in New Delhi where he supported the firm's leadership in opening the emerging economies office. He managed several projects aimed at expanding access to new and under-utilized health technologies.

Prior to joining GHS, Brian was a coordinator in the communications department of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), a Washington, D.C.-based LGBT political advocacy organization. In this capacity, Brian helped manage HRC’s external and internal organizational image and branding. In 2004 and 2005, Brian worked on grassroots environmental issues at the National Environmental Trust (now part of the Pew Environment Group).

Brian received a Bachelors degree with Honors in Microbiology from Clemson University in 2003. While studying at Clemson University, Brian was awarded a grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute to study the antimicrobial properties of medicinal plant extracts. His research interests included molecular genetics and immunology.
